Baltimore City Water is owned by the Department of Public Works (DPW). They provide 1.8 million customers with clean drinking water within the region and 2.6 million customers with waste water removal and cleansing services. They cleanse about 250 million gallons of wastewater every day, it is cleansed until it can be returned safely to waterways. Their treatment facilities are in Back River and Patapsco.

To pay your bill online you will need your service address and account number. You can pay your bill online with a debit or credit card. Once you enter these details you will be transferred to another page where you can enter your payment details and pay securely Www.BaltimoreCity.Gov. You will receive an email receipt for your payments. Bear in mind they could take a day or so to show on your account. Even if you don’t have a computer of your own or don’t have internet access you can pay at an internet café, friends or even work with permission from your company.
Pay by telephone
You can pay your bill over the telephone by calling1-877-729-6269. Ensure you have your account details to hand as well as your payment method or the operator will be unable to complete the transaction. This is a handy way to pay if you are not always at home because as long as you have a payment method, a phone line and your details to hand you can pay from pretty much anywhere.
Paying in Person
You can pay your bill in cash or by other payment means at Abel Wolman Municipal Building, 200 Holliday Street, Baltimore, MD 21202. They are open between 8:30am and 4:30pm every weekday. You don’t need to make an appointment just turn up with your account details and payment method. When you pay your bill you will receive a receipt for your transaction.
Posting your payment
If you prefer, you can make your payment via the US postal service. You will need to include your bill stub with the payment so that your payment can be added to the right account. If you are sending a check you need to make sure it is payable to Director of Finance. Do not send a blank check in case it is lost in the post.
